The program was established in 1984 and was the first citizenship-by-investment program in the world. It offers a range of investment options, including a donation to the Sustainable Growth Fund, investment in real estate, or investment in a government-approved business.
In return for their investment, successful applicants are granted citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis, along with a range of benefits, including visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to over 150 countries, including the UK, EU, and China. St. Kitts and Nevis also offers a favorable tax regime, with no personal income tax or capital gains tax.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program has been praised for its efficiency, with processing times typically taking 2-4 months, and flexibility, with applicants able to include their spouse, children, and parents in their application. It has also been credited with helping to boost St. Kitts and Nevis’ economy, attracting foreign investment and creating jobs.
