Rural And Northern Pilot Nominee Program

Rural And Northern Pilot Nominee Program

The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) was established to bring in skilled immigrants to rural and underdeveloped areas of the country. The five-year program is now accepting applications in three of its eleven participating communities.

Canada is known for welcoming a large number of immigrants, with a goal to welcome over 1 million newcomers in the coming years. However, most newcomers tend to settle in well-known cities like Toronto and Montreal. The RNIP was created so that Canada’s rural and northern communities could also have an opportunity to attract and employ skilled workers to meet their labor market needs.
