Applicants must exhibit English or French language proficiency according to CLB level 7 for work experience acquired at NOC skill levels O & A and CLB 5 for work experience gained at NOC skill level B.
This program has no minimum education conditions. Applicants in FST have required a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade profession. In addition, applicants must have either a job offer to work in Canadian skilled trades or a qualification certificate in their skilled trade given by a Canadian authority. Applicants must also show English or French language proficiency at CLB level 5 for listening and speaking and CLB level 4 for writing and reading.
