Express Entry is the fastest and most famous way for immigrants to consider a new life in Canada. Generally, it consists of 3 programs.

Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB)

The CLB is a model used in Canada to define, test, and comprehend the English language proficiency of young immigrants and potential foreigners who wish to reside and work there.
There are four tests for language proficiency.

National Occupation Classification (NOC)

It is a listing of job vacancies and projects in the local labor market in Canada. It describes each job in terms of the required type and level of skills.
Essential job categories for immigration purposes are

 

  • Skill Type 0: Management-Related Jobs
  • Skill Type A: Professional Jobs (generally from universities)
  • Skill Type B: Technical Jobs based on college diploma or training.
  • Skill Type C: Intermediate jobs from high school or specific job training.
  • Skill Type D:Labour jobs.

Canadian Experience Class

This class is primarily for trained individuals who have work experience in Canada and are interested in becoming permanent residents. Below are the requirements for this class.
Language Skills:
English and French
Must be CLB7 or CLB5.
Work Experience Type:
Must be one from NOC 0, A, B.
Job Offer:
Not required.

Education:
Not required.

Federal Skilled Trades Program

This plan is for experienced employees who want permanent residency due to their expertise in a particular trade.
Following requirements for this class are
Language Skills:
English and French.
Must be CLB 5 and CLB 4.
Work Experience Type:
Canadian or foreign experience under NOC B.
Job Offer:
Full-time employment or a certificate of qualification is required.
Education:
Not required.

Federal Skilled Worker Program

This program is for people who want to move permanently to Canada and have working experience in a foreign country.
It’s requirements are:
Language Skills:
English and French skills
CLB 7
Work Experience Type:
Must be one from NOC 0, A, B.
Job Offer:
Not required.
Education:
Secondary Education is required.
